Captain Crabtree joined the Sheriff's Office in 1986, and graduated from The Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy in 1988 where he earned his Ohio Peace Officers Certificate. More recently, Captain Crabtree attended and completed the FBI Sniper/Observer school as well as OPOTA's basic sniper school. He is a member of the S.T.A.R. Team and as a certified traffic crash reconstructionist, and is part of the Crash Investigation Team. In July of 2002, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and in 2005 promoted to the rank of Captain. Crabtree's hobbies include biking, water sports and fishing. He enjoys spending time outdoors.
